Quick and Easy Maintenance:

Designed specially for the maintenance of pre-finished wood floors Old Time products are easy to use. They are formulated for use on all types of wood floors with a polyurethane finish. They are non-abrasive so they won't scratch your floors and free rinsing which prevents buildups of detergent residue.

Follow these easy cleaning steps:

1. Before cleaning always sweep or vacuum the floor to remove abrasive dirt and dust soils.
2. Dilute Wood Wash with water according to label instructions. Spray a light amount of diluted solution on a section of the floor or directly on the wood floor mop.
3. Mop the floor using a back and forth motion following the grain of the floor. Mop the floor in small sections. Finish one section before starting the next.

NOTE: Do not spray too much cleaner on the floor. Excess liquid may be forced into the wood and damage the fibers.

Stubborn spots or sticky soils may require scrubbing with a sponge or damp cloth soaked with the cleaner.

Replace your mop frequently. A dirty mop cannot pick up soil and will leave residue on the floor. The terry mop covers can be machine-washed using a quality detergent such as Liquid Launderette.

Practical Cleaning Tips:

Food soils, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, etc…Clean spills immediately by spraying the spot with diluted Wood Wash and then wiping with a damp sponge or terry cloth. Clean before the soil dries and becomes sticky.

Things to Avoid:

Thanks to Kleenco and Old Time Professional Wood Care Products your hardwood floors can be cleaned with little effort. To make your floors last longer avoid the following:

Do not pour any floor cleaners directly onto the floor.
Never allow liquid to stand on the floor.
Avoid dripping mops and harsh alkaline cleaners.
Never use wax, oil-based detergent or household cleaners. These types of products may dull or damage the finish, leave a greasy film or make the floor slippery and difficult to cleaning. If you use an oil soap to clean your floors refinishing will become difficult if not impossible. If this happens deep sanding and complete recoating will become necessary.
